Recommendations for visiting Aiguablava

If you want to enjoy Aiguablava in summer, it is best to arrive early or stay in the area, for example at Hotel Aigua Blava. Another good option is to visit the cove in the afternoon, when there are fewer people.

Best beaches on the Costa Brava, Cala Jugadora, Cadaqués

Cala Jugadora, located in the Cap de Creus Natural Park, in Cadaqués (Girona), is one of the most spectacular hidden coves on the Costa Brava. Surrounded by rocks, unspoilt nature and wild landscapes, this small cove stands out for its crystal-clear waters and tranquillity.

Its relaxed atmosphere is largely due to its access: to get there you need to walk along a coastal path for around 15 minutes between rocks and cliffs, which means that even in summer it remains a relatively uncrowded beach. The cove combines gravel and coarse sand, and its transparent waters are perfect for snorkelling.

Visiting Cala Jugadora is also the perfect excuse to discover Cadaqués, one of the most beautiful villages in Catalonia, famous for its white houses, the legacy of Salvador Dalí and the unique landscape of Cap de Creus.

Recommendations for visiting Cala Jugadora

To visit Cala Jugadora, we recommend parking at the Cap de Creus Lighthouse and walking there along the Camí de Ronda; comfortable footwear is advisable. In summer, access to Cap de Creus by car is restricted during the day and Cadaqués usually has heavy traffic and limited parking, so staying in the centre in a hotel with parking, such as Hotel Playa Sol, is a great option.

Surrounded by the unique landscape of the Cap de Creus Natural Park, it stands out as the only hotel in the area combining a small beach right in front with a large garden of olive trees and pines, creating a truly special place to unwind.

This beach hotel offers modern, bright rooms in a Mediterranean style, with double, triple and family options. Most feature a balcony or terrace with sea views and views over Cadaqués, while others face the garden, pool or private patios.
